Fine much of westenr and central Europe, becoming windy in Scandinavia


Friday
High pressure will be centred to the north-west of Europe, but much of the continent stays dry with warm sunshine. Chance of a shower for northern Spain. Hottest temperatures for western Spain and Portugal again into the mid-30s, and topping 30C in south-west France too. An easterly breeze for northern France and the Low Countries, with variable cloud. Up to 20C in southern Germany, nearer 15C in the north. Dry across the Alps, Italy and eastern Europe.
A small area of low pressure is forecast to lie over the eastern Mediterranean, bringing a risk of rain to southern Greece, and showers for the Aegean Sea. Scandinavia should improve, with just a few showers, but feeling cool under a north-westerly breeze.

Saturday
Scattered showers in northern Spain on Saturday. Generally fair elsewhere with lots of sunshine. More sunshine to come in Corsica and Sardinia. Staying sunny for Italy and dry too. The risk of strong winds and rain in southern Greece, this affecting the west of Turkey and Crete. Eastern and central Turkey should be fair with sunny spells.
Fair and breezy in France with lots of sunshine. Staying fine in the Low Countries and Germany and well as Poland, sunny after a cool start. fair in Hungary and Austria as well as Switzerland where it will be dry and sunny.
Breezy with sunny spells in Denmark. Fair for the Baltic States while Finland will be windy with broken cloud. Dry and windy in Sweden. Wet and windy for most of Norway with heavy rain in the west where there is a risk of gales.
