Monday
A few thundery showers for the Balearics, but most of Spain and Portugal will stay dry. A brisk wind for northern Spain and southern France. Up to 33 to 35C in south-west Spain and Portugal. Cooler than previous days for much of France, 16 to 20C, warmest in the south. A strong Mistral wind, with low pressure focused over northern Italy. Rain affects the Alps, with some heavy showers for Italy, where temperatures will be 24 to 27C.
The Balkans will be dry, and Greece will see a brighter day, although heavy showers affect western Turkey, Bulgaria and eastern Romania. Eastern Europe will be mainly dry.
Cool and showery for the Low Countries and northern Germany, 11 to 15C. Showers affect northern Norway, with snow over the mountains. Local showers for southern Sweden and Finland mixed with sunny spells, but cool at 7 to 10C.

Tuesday
High pressure will reside west of Europe, extending from Biscay into central regions of the continent. A brisk northeasterly wind across Spain will help temperatures stay high toward the south-west of Iberia, 35C in southern Portugal. 21 to 24C for north-east Spain and southern France.
Low pressure over the central Mediterranean brings some heavy and thundery rain to Italy, Corsica and Sardinia. Dry for Alpine regions. A few showers possible for the Adriatic coasts. Generally dry for Hungary, areas toward the Black Sea and the Greek Islands, 20 to 23C.
A cold front brings showery rain to the Low Countries and northern Germany. Some persistent rain and brisk winds for southern Norway and Sweden, also Denmark. Cool but drier for northern Scandinavia.
