An unsettled period of weather for the eastern Mediterranean as a low pressure system brings heavy thundery, sometimes wintry, showers to the Balkans, Greece and Turkey. High pressure develops over Iberia bringing a dry and fine few days to Portugal, Spain and the Balearics. Across central Europe there will be varying amounts of cloud with a chance of showers with the best of the sun for Poland on Wednesday. Mainly dry and fine for Scandinavia though some heavy rain and wintry showers will move in from the North Sea later on Wednesday.


Tuesday
High pressure develops over Iberia on Tuesday bringing a cloudy but dry day for Spain, Portugal and the Balearics. A cloudy and wet start for Corsica and Sardinia though brightening later to leave a fine afternoon. Italy, the Balkans, much of Greece and eastern Turkey will feel the effects of a low pressure system that will bring heavy, possibly thundery, showers throughout the day. These will be wintry in nature over higher ground.
A fine start to the day for France though cloud and rain will move in from the northwest and spread across the northern half of the country and into Belgium by the evening. A cloudy but dry day for the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic. Also dry for Poland which will see some good sunny spells.
Dry and bright for Denmark and the Baltic states though some wintry showers may affect coastal fringes of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Mostly fine and dry for Finland, Sweden and Norway too on Tuesday.

Wednesday
Mostly fine and dry over Iberia as high pressure strengthens on Wednesday. It will be mainly sunny for Portugal, Spain and the Balearics though cloud will start to build through the afternoon for northwestern Spain. Dry and bright too for Corsica, Sardinia and northern Italy. Southern Italy will start off cloudy and wet though this should mostly clear by the evening. Unsettled weather persists over the Balkans, Greece and western Turkey as an area of low pressure brings heavy showers which will be wintry over the Dinaric Alps and Pindus Mountains.
A cloudy day for northern France and the Low Countries with outbreaks of rain which will be heavy at times. The south of France will be cloudy but should stay dry. A bright start to the day in Germany with cloud building through the afternoon accompanied by rain by the evening moving in from the west. Bright and mainly dry for the Czech Republic and Poland.
A bright start to the day in Denmark but cloud building from the west and covering most of the country by the early afternoon. Remaining dry though. Dry and bright for Finland and the Baltic states on Wednesday. A bright start for Norway and Sweden though cloud will quickly move in from the west bringing widespread snow and heavy rain for southern Norway.
