Severe gales in northern Europe, dry and fair central and southern areas

Wednesday
Plenty of sunshine and dry weather for Spain and Portugal today. More sunshine in the Balearics and across Corsica and Sardinia. Sunshine too in Italy and remaining dry. Cooler for Greece but mostly dry, although some showers in the east. Cool to cold in Turkey with sunshine.
Fine for France with plenty of sunshine. Breezy in the Low Countries and northern Germany. Fair for Poland with lots of sunshine. Fine too across Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland.
Gale across Denmark with broken cloud and some sunshine. Windy in the Baltic States with a fair amount of cloud and some patchy rain. Windy in Finland and rather cloudy. Staying windy across Sweden and Norway with severe gales. Rain turning to snow in western and northern Norway.

Thursday
Staying sunny and fine through Spain and Portugal today. The sunshine extending into the Balearics and across Italy. Greece and Turkey will be fair too with more sunshine and it will be staying dry.
France is dry with sunny spells and fair contions for northern and western areas. Some patchy rain in the east. Broken cloud through the Low Countries and Germany with sunny spells. Poland is windy, some gales in the north. Cloud and patchy rain for Hungary and Austria. Cloud and some light rain or drizzle in Switzerland.
Windy for Denmark and dry with some bright spells. Windy in the Baltic States, broken cloud and some bright spells. Gales in Finland, cold here with snow or snow showers. Further showers over western and northern Norway, drier in the south.
