Gales and heavy rain in Spain and Portugal drier in the east


Thursday
Heavy showers and rain in Portugal and northwest Spain. Drier in the east with sunny spells. Fair too in the Balearics. Showers in northwest Italy, fair to the south. Heavy showers and thunderstorms in southern Greece but fine in Turkey with good spells of sunshine here.
Rain in the far west of France, but fair in the east. Some showers to the south. The Low Countries will have sunny spells, although some rain affects central Germany. Poland will have some rain in the south, but fair for most other areas. Hungary will also have some showers, with Austria being dry.
Denmark will be fair with sunny spells. Windy in Finland and the Baltic States. Sweden is also breezy but mostly dry. A few snow showers over the mountains of Norway, otherwise dry here.

Friday
Heavy, thundery rain and strong winds for much of Spain and Portugal on Friday. Showers in the Balearics and heavy showers across Corsica and Sardinia too. Italy will have heavy showers in the west, but eastern areas should be dry. Greece will be dry with some god spells of sunshine, although showers wil be affecting western Turkey.
Wind and rain into the west and south of France. Mostly dry in central and northern France, staying windy. Dry in the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. Hungary and Austria should both be dry with sunny spells and it should be mostly dry in Switzerland too.
Showers for Denmark. Wind in Finland and dry, with dry weather in Finland, although cold here. Showers and spells of rain in Sweden but dry in north. Chilly but dry for Norway overall, although some rain in the far southeast/
