Cool around the Baltic and far north

Tuesday
A hot, sunny day across the Mediterranean. Warm, bright conditions continue for Portugal, Spain, the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Greece and Turkey. Afternoon showers affecting central and northern parts of Italy.
Showers and outbreaks of rain on Tuesday for northwestern France and the Low Countries. Fine and mostly dry for central and southeastern France. Heavy, sometimes thundery, showers at times for eastern Germany, western Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary.
Outbreaks of rain affecting Denmark and southern parts of Norway and Sweden. This could be locally heavy at times. Light showers too for southern parts of Finland. Elsewhere across northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland and across the Baltic States it will be a fair and mostly dry day.

Wednesday
Dry and warm weather continues for much of Spain and Portugal, with just a chance of a shower in the middle of Spain by afternoon. Much of France also looks dry, but some showers are likely toward the north.
Italy and the Mediterranean islands will see fine summer weather, although areas toward the Alps will be thundery, with rain breaking out widely into Austria, and also the Balkan mountains through the day. Greece and the Black Sea coast will be dry and sunny, whilst inland Romania shows signs of thunderstorms.
A zone of heavy rain is expected to extend across western Poland, east and northern Germany, plus Denmark, whilst some heavy showers affect the Low Countries. High pressure extends over Scandinavia, although southwest Norway may catch showers. Feeling cool for Finland and the Baltic states under a northerly breeze.
