Low pressure brings unsettled conditions to much of northern Europe


Friday
Plenty of sunshine and dry weather in Spain and Portugal. A few showers to the far northwest. The Balearics will be dry with more sunshine and it remains fair in Corsica and Sardinia too. Italy is fine with more sunshine once morning mist and fog clears. Greece and Turkey have some fine autumnal sunshine and it stays dry.
Sunshine and showers in France, most of these in the north. Southern areas are likely to be drier. Heavy showers or longer spells of rain in the Low Countries and Germany. Rain in Poland may be heavy and thundery. Further rain in Hungary but sunny spells and showers in Austria and Hungary.
Bright spells and a few showers in Denmark. Fine with plenty of sunshine in the Baltic States and Finland. Rain in southern Sweden but fair to the north. Rain and showers over southern Norway but fine in the north.

Saturday
Another dry and fine day for Portugal and Spain. Dry too for the Balearic Islands though there may be a bit of cloud around here. Mostly dry and fair too for Italy though a few isolated showers may develop to the north. Dry, bright and warm too for Greece and Turkey though a few heavy showers could develop later along Turkey's northern coast.
A fair day for France: cloudier to the north with isolated showers along the coast; bright and dry to the south. Frequent showers affecting the Low Countries and northern Germany. Drier for southern Germany. Frequent showers affecting Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria too but these clearing to the east throughout the day. Dry with variable amounts of cloud for Switzerland and Hungary.
A damp day for Denmark with heavy rain clearing to the north. Frequent showers for southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Drier and brighter to the north and for much of Finland thought rain will reach the far south through the evening. A band of heavy rain spreads north across the Baltic States followed by brighter conditions and scattered showers.
