Thundery central Mediterranean, warm in much of central and eastern Europe


Tuesday
Thunderstorms continue for northern and eastern parts of Spain, spreading to the Balearic Islands too. Dry and very warm elsewhere across Iberia. Isolated showers, some of them thundery, too for Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, the Balkans, Greece and Turkey but it will be mostly dry with good spells of sunshine and very warm temperatures.
After a dry and bright start, thundery showers will spread across much of France, heaviest in the west. Clouding over later for the Low Countries but staying dry here. A mostly fair and very warm day for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia though there is a risk of thundery showers popping up through the afternoon. These most likely over the Alps, the Czech Republic and northern parts of Germany.
Another mostly sunny and dry day for the Baltic States, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland as high pressure stays close by. There will be some broken cloud around and outbreaks of rain at times for northern parts of Norway and Finland. Thundery showers developing over Denmark later.

Wednesday
Scattered showers on northern Spain on Wednesday. Fine for other parts of Spain and Portugal with plenty of sunshine and hot temperatures. Scattered showers for Menorca with the risk of thunderstorms in Corsica and Sardinia. Italy should be mostly fair wit sunshine although some showers affect the north. Greece and Turkey will be dry with good periods of sunshine here.
Mostly fair in France although some afternoon showers could be triggered in the south. Fair for the Low Countries and staying fine and very warm in Germany. Poland will heva god spells of sunshine and will be warm, with Hungary also being dry and fair. Showers affecting Austria and Switzerland.
Sunny spells in Denmark. A risk of some thunderstorms in Sweden. Breezy with sunshine across the Baltic States and Finland. Norway will be wet in the southwest, otherwise it should be fair with sunny spells.
