Some heavy downpours at first for Spain and Portugal. Fine for many central areas but colder with rain in the north.


Saturday
Showers will drift north across Spain and Portugal, chiefly in central and southern parts, with localized heavy thundery downpours bringing a risk of flooding. Any remaining showers in the Balearics are likely to be light, however. Isolated light showers in the south of Italy but most of Corsica, Sardinia, Italy and the Adriatic will be dry with spells of sunshine. Showers will develop across Greece and Turkey, some of these becoming heavy, especially in Northern Turkey.
France, the Low Countries, Germany and Switzerland will be dry with some sunshine. Austria and Poland may have isolated light showers but then the risk of showers increases to the south and east, across to the Black Sea coast.
Further rain pushes into the north and west of Scandinavia, where it will become windy. Sunny intervals and showers for Finland and the Baltic States but Denmark will remain dry.
Away from any rain or showers, still reasonably warm for Central and Southern Europe with highs in the low to mid 20s and locally hot in Southern Turkey. Progressively cooler further north and cold for the north of Scandinavia.

Sunday
Still some heavy, perhaps locally thundery showers scattered around Portugal and Spain, especially in central and southern areas, although these will become lighter and less frequent later, while the Balearics should stay dry. Isolated light showers and some sunshine for Corsica but showers will develop more widely across Italy, with a risk of locally heavy and thundery downpours. Any showers around the Adriatic will be lighter with more in the way of sunshine here. Some sunshine for Greece and Turkey but with a risk of thundery showers too.
Dry and largely sunny across France, with much of the Low Countries and Germany dry too, although some light rain is likely in the north later. Mostly dry with some sunshine for Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Central Europe with only isolated showers but heavier showers and thunderstorms will affect Bulgaria and Romania.
Rain into Western Norway, accompanied by strong winds, will spread east into Sweden and Finland, with some light rain extending across Denmark but the Baltic States will stay dry with sunny spells.
Little change temperature-wise, with southern and central areas retaining the warmth but it will stay colder in the north.
