Snow in the east and south east

Today
Severely cold weather affects eastern parts of Europe today. Further snow is expected across the Ukraine and eastern Turkey with patchy snow across the Adriatic Region and parts of Greece. A dry, cold day across Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, The Baltic States into southern Russia. Snow is expected across northern Russia. Wet and windy across Britain with rain and this spread into northern France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. Cold across Norway with wintry showers. Finland stays cold and dry. Cloudy with snow flurries across Romania and Bulgaria. Cold and mainly dry across Italy. Frequent and heavy showers are forecast from Sardinia eastward to Cyprus. Fine and dry across Portugal, Spain and France.



Tuesday
It continues bitterly cold across the eastern and south eastern parts of Europe. Some rain may affect the far north of Spain but for most of Iberia it will be a dry day with the best of the sunshine in the south. Heavy rain is forecast for southern France with snow over the mountains. Heavy snow is expected across Switzerland and southern Germany. Rain is expected across northern parts of Germany and southern Sweden while snow falls across northern Norway and northern Sweden. Very cold with heavy snow for Finland and northern Russia. Dry with sunny spells for the Baltic States, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria Hungary and much of the Adriatic Region. Snow is expected across northern Greece, Bulgaria and western Turkey along with the Ukraine. Fine across Romania today.
