Unsettled conditions affect northern Europe over the weekend


Saturday
A dry and fine day for Portugal and Spain. Dry too for the Balearic Islands though there may be a bit of cloud around here. Mostly dry and fair too for Italy though a few isolated showers may develop to the north. Dry, bright and warm too for Greece and Turkey though a few heavy showers could develop later along Turkey's northern coast.
A fair day for France: cloudier to the north with isolated showers along the coast; bright and dry to the south. Frequent showers affecting the Low Countries and northern Germany. Drier for southern Germany. Frequent showers affecting Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary too but these clearing to the east throughout the day. Dry with variable amounts of cloud for Switzerland.
A damp day for Denmark with heavy rain clearing to the north. Frequent showers for southern parts of Norway and Sweden. Drier and brighter to the north and for much of Finland though rain will reach the far south through the evening. A band of heavy rain spreads north across the Baltic States followed by brighter conditions and scattered showers.

Sunday
Another fine and sunny day for Portugal and Spain. Cloud clears from the Balearic Islands leaving a dry and sunny day here too. Dry and bright for Corsica, Sardinia and much of Italy though the odd isolated shower may develop to the north later. A dry, warm and sunny day for The Balkans, Greece and Turkey.
Showery outbreaks of rain, some of it heavy, spread across the northwestern half of France, the Low Countries and much of Germany on Saturday. Windy too for coastal areas. Staying dry but clouding over for the southeastern part of France. A dry and mostly bright day for Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia though there will be varying amounts of cloud around here at times. Cloudy with frequent showers for Poland.
Another rainy day for Denmark with a strong breeze here too. Northern parts of Norway and Sweden see prolonged spells of rain or sleet on Saturday with southern areas generally brighter though scattered showers affecting these areas too. A cloudy day with frequent showers in Finland and the Baltics.
