High pressure brings dry and sunny conditions to much of central Europe

Monday
Heavy showers spread across much of Spain, the heaviest of these focused to the northeast. Skies clear for Portugal bringing a mostly dry and sunny day here, a few showers may linger to the south. Cloud builds over the Balearic Islands while bright skies prevail over Corsica, Sardinia and northern Italy. Cloud builds over southern Italy at times bringing isolated showers again. Heavy downpours continue over Greece and western Turkey but these tend to ease through the day. A cloudy day with scattered showers for eastern Turkey and Cyprus.
Rain spreads across western France with some heavy bursts here though it stays dry but increasingly cloudy to the east. Some patchy rain reaches into the Low Countries as well. For central and eastern parts of Europe it's another dry and sunny day with bright conditions for Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Belarus, Ukraine and Romania.
Dry and bright conditions extend into Denmark, southern Sweden and the Baltic States too on Monday. Cloudier over northern Sweden and Finland with isolated showers developing here too. Cloudy too for Norway with outbreaks of rain to the southwest.

Tuesday
A mixed day for Portugal, Spain and the Balearic Islands with some broken cloud, good spells of sunshine and scattered showers. A mostly dry and sunny for Corsica, Sardinia and Italy though afternoon showers could develop for southern parts of Italy and Sicily. Dry and sunny for the Balkans while showers, some heavy, continue over Greece and Turkey. These tend to get squeezed to the south through the day with brighter conditions spreading from the north.
Some broken cloud around for western France, the Low Countries and northern Germany with a chance of isolated showers developing here. Dry, sunny and warm for central and eastern France, central and southern Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.
Dry and bright conditions again for Denmark and southern Sweden. Starting dry and bright for the Baltic States though a band of rain moves into Estonia and Latvia later. Cloudy with outbreaks of patchy rain for Finland and northern Sweden. Mostly dry with broken cloud for Norway though showers affect western coastal regions.
