Becoming drier & bright for Scandinavia & W Europe; thunderstorms continue to the south


Monday
Thundery outbreaks of rain for much of Spain and northern Portugal on Monday, just the southwestern corner of Spain staying dry. Mostly dry and bright for southern Portugal. Frequent showers for the Balearic Islands, Corsica and Sardinia and northern Italy while southern Italy should stay mostly dry and fair. Staying hot, dry and sunny for Greece and Turkey.
France sees a mixture of cloudy skies and sunny spells on Monday with showers around the Pyrenees. Scattered showers affecting the Low Countries and northern parts of Germany and Poland too. Mostly dry and bright for southern parts of Germany and Poland and also for the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Austria and Switzerland will see some outbreaks of rain which will be heavy at times.
Outbreaks of showers and rain affecting Denmark, the Baltic States and southern portions of Finland, Sweden and Norway on Monday. Breezy too for the Baltics. Brighter for northern areas.

Tuesday
There will be further thundery showers for the northern half of Spain and the far north of Portugal on Tuesday. Dry and warm across the rest of Iberia. Thundery showers and outbreaks of rain also affecting the Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia and most of Italy with the exception of the far south. Thunderstorms also moving into the Balkans later. Staying mostly dry and hot for Greece and Turkey though the far north of both countries could see a heavy shower.
The far south of France and southern parts of Switzerland and Austria could see further heavy, sometimes thundery, showers on Tuesday. The rest of France, Switzerland and Austria as well as the Low Countries should be mostly dry and fair with just the slight chance of a light passing shower. Showers more frequent over Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary but there will be good spells of sunshine here too.
A fair and dry day for much of Scandinavia with just a slight chance of a light, passing shower across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. More frequent showers and outbreaks of rain affecting the Baltic States where it will be breezy too.
